Wild Wits Games Receives “Produit en Bretagne” Label
Wild Wits Games, a video game creation studio near Rennes, has recently been awarded the prestigious “Produit en Bretagne” label. The company, founded five years ago in Cesson-Sévigné, prides itself on designing everything locally.
“Our games are made from A to Z, mainly in Rennes and Brest”
“Our games are made from A to Z, mainly in Rennes and Brest. We do not outsource our services. Typically, some studios may use Asian studios for animation. For us, it’s people in the office who do the animation, and everything is centralized here.”

“Within our stories, Brittany plays a significant role, and we felt it made sense because many of our players were curious about what a Kouign-Amann is because we mentioned it in the games. And I like the idea of sharing all the Breton imagery on a global scale because what you need to know about a video game is that as soon as it hits the market, it’s available to anyone in the world,” explains Corto Laly, co-founder of Wild Wits Games.

The Impact of Notoriety is Already Felt
When launching a game produced by Wild Wits Games, the logo of the Breton lighthouse surrounded by yellow appears. While there is no direct financial support, the impact in terms of notoriety is already being felt.
“What we’re experiencing is, in a way, an impact because it can spark curiosity locally. This opens up contacts and potential opportunities for us, whether media-related or in partnerships. “Produits en Bretagne” is a circle of members where we discuss together and meet. There, we think that it would be very amusing to have a little Hénaff in our game because there are many food-related topics in our game Sovereign tower. This company is part of “Produit en Bretagne,” and we will be able to discuss our idea. It allows us to delve deeper into the imagery we are building, a medieval Brittany revisited in a slightly modern way,” continues Corto Laly.
Brittany, a Hub for Video Games?
Based in the premises of Creative Seeds, the Rennes school that specializes in 3D animation and video game professions, Wild Wits Games coexists with other studios like Pixel Butter and Drama Studios.

The Wild Wits Games team
“We’re not a region with many video game studios; there are regions where it’s much stronger: Bordeaux, Paris, Lyon are cities with many big studios. Now we have Montpellier with Sandfall Interactive, so Clair Obscur on Expédition 33. However, there is a desire in Rennes, with my colleagues, to ensure that there are more and more studios. We’re not sad when a game does well; we’re very happy. It means that players like this type of game. And often, there’s still solidarity between studios, meaning that we share what’s happening in the sector, whether from a publisher’s point of view. We sometimes share tasks, ask our friends for help. And we hope that there will be more studios in Rennes and even in Brittany,” says Corto Laly.
Wild Wits Games will release a new game in August, “Sovereign Tower,” and it is already possible to test it online.
