The Department of Hauts-de-Seine, as a partner, was present at the “Check! By Campus Paris La Défense” fair on April 7th, at the Paris La Défense Arena. This event focused on the meeting between students and professionals, bringing together many companies, stakeholders in higher education, employees, and students to discuss the issues of orientation and professional integration.
“Check! By Campus”: stands, talks, and key moments with Tonton Karim and Hugo Travers on the agenda
Throughout the day, there were stands and job corners, challenges and team games, a zone for free expression, talks, a plenary session, and a friendly after-work gathering to bring together students, companies from La Défense, and schools.
Two highlights stood out at this fair: – At 11 am, HR expert and influencer Tonton Karim led an interactive conference on job search topics; – At 2:30 pm, Hugo Travers, the founder of the online informative media Hugo Décrypte, shared his journey on the Check! By Campus Paris La Défense stage and discussed youth integration in professional environments through his online job posting platform, Elan.
A booth from the Department of Hauts-de-Seine to inform youth about future professions and apprenticeship
The Department is committed to supporting youth towards employment and facilitating the connection between the student world and the professional world. They had a stand to inform students about future professions in the community, apprenticeship opportunities, and the steps to take. Since 2023, the Department has provided a platform dedicated to apprenticeship to promote this training and make it easier for young people to enter the job market.
