Nespresso unveils its new advertising spot with Dua Lipa

Nespresso has just unveiled its new commercial with Dua Lipa, but its famous ambassador George Clooney still makes an appearance. In this new spot, George Clooney must contend with a new rival. The Swiss brand has just unveiled its latest ad featuring its newly appointed star: Dua Lipa, who mischievously steps on the toes of the historic ambassador, George Clooney. When it comes to entertaining us with ads that are as spicy as they are humorous, we can always count on Nespresso, George Clooney, and his iconic “What Else?”. But after twenty years of undisputed rule over the Swiss firm, the almost 65-year-old actor must now face competition from a young upstart. That would be Dua Lipa, recently named as the global ambassador for the Swiss brand. After the announcement in late March of the partnership between the British singer and Nespresso, the coffee manufacturer has now unveiled its very first ad with her. The theme? “New era. New ambassador. New machine. And even bolder coffees.” Clearly, Nespresso wouldn’t be what it is without some (more or less) discreet appearances by George Clooney, who seems to have a hard time loosening up and giving up his role as a superstar. Towards the end of the ad, he is eager to remind his counterpart that the famous “What Else” is “his” phrase. One thing is certain: the Swiss brand hits hard and righteously by appointing the 30-year-old artist, as talented as she is charming, to play off against an ever-irresistible George. This will undoubtedly entice Gen Z, the alpha generation, and all those to come to dive into the creamy foam of a Nespresso vanilla-caramel-triple-matcha latte.
