He was not mistaken about the values ​​and qualities of his son, the proof: from division 3, he first brought the club up to D2, then brought it to D1, the elite. Undefeated, which is exceptional, the basketball players therefore won their ticket for the final of the Coupe de l’Hérault, after having eliminated the best teams in the department.

“We never faced La Grande-Motte, so I discreetly went to play the mole, during their last match to discover their game, their tactics, etc.†admits Samir who does everything to motivate the players. Objective of course: to bring the cup home, with a memorable celebration at the Pompignane. “They have rage on the floors and they will demonstrate it again on May 14 in Mauguio, in a crazy atmosphere, the families and the supporters will be there,†underline Bouhafs and Samir Belghazi, very proud in the event of a victory: “it would be the first time that a local club has won the Coupe de Hérault, crazy if you do it.” Before the match, Samir will say his magic phrase which brings luck to the club: “Long live Pompignane!”.

The immediate future involves an emergency: when a club reaches D1, it must create one or more mixed youth teams and if we survive since 2008 without ever having received a subsidy, this situation imposed by the regulations has financial repercussions high.

The club will therefore be obliged to ask the City of Montpellier to receive aid.
