In La Londe-les-Maures, on the Var coast, the coming week offers culture, well-being and entertainment for all audiences.

The town of La Londe-les-Maures is preparing to experience a particularly dynamic week from May 11 to 17, 2026, with an eclectic program that includes exhibitions, theater, personal development workshops and citizen meetings. An opportunity for residents and visitors to benefit from a varied offering, reflecting the local associative and municipal vitality.

Culture in the spotlight

The London cultural scene will be marked by several major events. The exhibition “Spring Sentiments” continues until May 17 at the Horace-Vernet Gallery, presenting the works of the painters George and Hanna Rouge. Entrance is free every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and an opening is organized on Saturday May 9 at 3 p.m.

The theater will also be on display with a representation of “Antigone”, a play inspired by the work of Jean Anouilh. Proposed by the ESCAL Théâtre and performed by the Compagnie à l’Ouest d’Eden, the performance will take place on Friday May 15 at 8:30 p.m. at the Théâtre des Bormettes. Tickets cost €10, and reservations can be made by SMS to 06 75 11 06 00.

Finally, lovers of Italian culture will meet on Saturday May 16 at 6 p.m. at the Salle Cassin for a conference on “The Italian genius of comedy, from Polichinelle to Frédérico Fellini”. Hosted by Jean-François Guilbaud of the ALPHA association and proposed by Amicale La Londe/Italie, this meeting is free entry.

Well-being and leisure for body and mind

Well-being will not be left out with a series of workshops designed for relaxation and self-discovery. The week will begin on Monday May 11 with a relaxation session with Tibetan bowls, offered by ESCAL Gym from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Antoine-Bussone school gymnasium (€10).

On Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m., La Clé de Soi will host a workshop on “Lunar cycles and shamanic drums” at the Salle Cassin (25€, information on 06 29 56 23 86). The association will also offer a workshop “Taï Chi, 6 sounds and therapeutic walks” on Saturday May 16 at 10 a.m. at the Salle du Chêne et l’Olivier 1 (€10, registration at 07 77 79 06 49). To end the week, a Yin Yoga workshop is organized by Yoga Bulle on Sunday May 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Salle Perrin (€25, discovery rate at €15).

At the heart of local and civic life

Municipal and associative life will also punctuate the week. The Municipal Social Action Center (CCAS) is mobilizing for seniors with two meetings: a Cinema-café on Monday May 11 at 3 p.m. at the Cinéma de la Baie with the film “Victor, like everyone else” (preferential rate and free transport upon registration), and an introductory workshop on artificial intelligence on Wednesday 13 May, which is already full.

The Municipal Council will hold its public meeting on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. in the Council Room. The agenda can be viewed online on the city website (https://swll.to/seanceconseilmunicipal).

As for crafts and traditions, the Couture and Déco Club will hold its spring exhibition on Saturday May 16 and Sunday May 17 at the Salle le Chêne et l’Olivier 2. Finally, the weekly markets will enliven the town: the Bormettes summer market every Tuesday morning at Place Françoise-Belot, and the large Sunday market in city center, on avenues Clemenceau and Roux.
