Comedians’ Spring: a second international and women’s weekend

Continuation of the Spring of Comedians with a second weekend with an international and feminine tone. We can see Ayoub (Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.) by Argentina’s Marina Otero, who transforms the story of an aborted love story in Morocco into an intense performance where the intimate confronts the legacies of colonialism and contemporary geopolitical divides. Another first in France, Outside the walls by Emma Dante (Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.), who we see a lot here: the Italian makes the street a theater of chaos where ordinary existences confronted with solitude, violence and the fractures of the contemporary world intersect. Finally, Angélica Liddell offers Seppuku (Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.), a metaphysical experience inspired by Mishima and the Nô theater, where ghosts, samurai and living bodies mingle in a ritual universe between pleasure and pain.

Until Sunday June 21. Domaine d’O, Montpellier. Spring of comedians

A German Requiem – Johannes Brahms

A German Requiem – Johannes Brahms
A German Requiem – Johannes Brahms

Far from the Catholic liturgical tradition, A German Requiem opus 45 by Johannes Brahms, a monumental score for soloists, choir and orchestra, draws on the texts of Holy Scripture to deliver a message of hope and consolation. Composed in seven movements, this “requiem of hope” combines gravity, fervor and bursts of light, in a writing that testifies to Brahms’ attachment to the German masters, from Bach to Handel.

Friday 5 June at 8 p.m. Choir, esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, Montpellier. From 28.00 to 47 €.
