New deputy for culture and memories of Bordeaux, Nathalie Bois-Huygue is not a professional in politics. An anthropologist by training, co-founder and director of the Edgar-Morin private high school in Darwin, she claims her arrival at city hall as the logical continuation of a long-standing commitment to education, cooperation and social bonds.
Tempted by the municipal adventure, it was in Thomas Cazenave’s list that she found a place, at the suggestion of Alexandra Siarri. She sees it as an opportunity to put into practice a reflection that has accompanied her for more than twenty years: the thoughts of the sociologist and philosopher Edgar Morin, with whom she was close. His approach to politics thus attempts to answer “how do we make society?”.
Two months after joining Thomas Cazenave’s team, she outlines the outlines of a cultural policy that she wants to be ambitious and focused on influence.
