Relaunch of the Saint-Céré slaughterhouse: AMD Solutions demonstrates its expertise in business management and recovery

A look back at the mission of the Figeac company.

In direct collaboration with the Cauvaldor teams, fully committed to the sustainability and growth of this departmental-scale tool, AMD Solutions, a company based in Figeac specializing in support for the management and transformation of businesses, played a role determining in the reactivation of the Saint-Céré slaughterhouse, facing a temporary suspension of its operation in 2025. His mission ends with the arrival of a new director recruited by Cauvaldor.

Mandated in an emergency context, Mathieu Arjeau from AMD Solutions intervened from October 2025 to structure, secure and relaunch the entire activity. Thanks to a pragmatic and results-oriented approach, and the assistance of Macarena Sirejol from the Lot Chamber of Agriculture, as well as the two team leaders in place, David Riol and Jonston Keletanoa, the resumption of slaughtering was able to be initiated quickly, with a lifting of the suspension of activities cattle and sheep from January 2026. Before that, the preparatory work with the formalization of processes, the redefinition of each person’s missions as well as training made it possible to resume in collaboration with the veterinary services. The recruitment of a quality manager made it possible to complete the outline of a management team for the structure.

Beyond simple technical support, AMD Solutions has deployed a real strategic and operational management mission:

– Review of the organization, with clarification of responsibilities, redefinition of key functions and recruitment of a Quality Manager.

– Reconstruction of management tools, including monitoring indicators, management rituals (weekly meeting in particular with Veterinary Services)

– Reorganization of human resources, with adaptation of skills to the requirements of the site and slaughterhouses, rewriting of job descriptions and the skills matrix, resumption of training for positions;

– Securing processes and practices, making it possible to meet regulatory and operational requirements through the rewriting of the PMS and Standardized Operating Procedures, but also on-the-ground support for teams.

– Support for change, by remobilizing teams around clear and shared objectives, by recreating communications that were broken.

This transversal approach made it possible to consolidate the foundations of the organization by acting on key levers: the modernization of management, the structuring of management, the optimization of processes and the strengthening of internal and external communication.

In a few months, the intervention of AMD Solutions made it possible to:

– the gradual resumption of activity,

– bringing operations back into compliance,

– the re-establishment of a reliable and sustainable operating framework.

The return to service of the tool, imperative within three months following notification of suspension, marks the success of the operational shift initiated by Cauvaldor with the expertise of AMD Solutions. The community is now mobilizing to guarantee quality management, the development of volumes and consolidation of the pork sector. This new governance demonstrates rigorous management, ensuring partners the reliability and sustainability of the site.

This mission illustrates AMD Solutions’ ability to intervene in very varied and complex contexts, well beyond a specific sector of activity.

Positioned as a trusted partner of managers, AMD Solutions supports all types of companies in their management, organization, performance and transformation challenges, by providing concrete solutions, quickly operational and adapted to the realities on the ground.

Through the relaunch of the Saint-Céré slaughterhouse, AMD Solutions confirms its commitment: to get local businesses moving again, secure their operations and create the conditions for sustainable performance to preserve the local economy.
