Fortnite to add 5 new Sprites on June 25, including Football and Fishstick variants

Fortnite’s Sprite roster is about to get a whole lot bigger, with Epic Games officially teasing that five brand-new Sprites are coming to Chapter 7 Season 3 on June 25. With this, they are kicking off the Gone Wild event in the battle royale experience. The exact specifics of the Sprites are not known at the moment, given that the announcement was kept deliberately cryptic, and only stated “new friends arriving June 25.” Nevertheless, prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX quickly filled in the blanks, confirming that Football, Fishstick, and Boss are among the five additions.

5 new Sprites coming to Fortnite on June 25

As already mentioned, Epic Games recently made an announcement, stating that new friends are arriving on June 25. The same will result in the introduction of 5 new Sprites in Fortnite. If you’re new to Chapter 7 Season 3, Sprites are magical companion creatures that float alongside players in-game and provide unique combat abilities depending on their type and rarity. They come in four tiers – Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic – each offering more powerful buffs ranging from health regeneration, and speed boosts. You can find Sprites out in the wild during matches and can bank them at fixed extraction sites or use a Portable Extractor anywhere on the map. The more Sprites you extract, the more Mastery Points you rack up in the Sprite Mastery system.Three of the five incoming Sprites have been officially confirmed through Epic’s teaser post:

  • Football Sprite
  • Fishstick Sprite
  • Boss Sprite

The remaining two Sprites have not been officially named yet. HYPEX’s leak lists them as part of the five confirmed additions, and the community is already speculating over what skins or characters they could be based on.

Gone Wild Event in Fortnite

The Gone Wild event goes live on June 25 across all platforms simultaneously and runs until July 9. New Sprite Day on June 25 is just the opening act. A Galaxy Hour is also scheduled for Saturday, June 27, which will likely bring higher odds of finding Galaxy Sprites in the wild, similar to how the Gummy Hour event previously boosted Gummy Sprite spawn rates. Mastery Monday also continues during Gone Wild, offering higher odds of finding rarer Sprites along with 2x Dust from all successful extractions. If you have been holding off on grinding the Sprite Mastery system, Gone Wild is the time to dive in.With five new Sprites dropping Thursday and two weeks of bonus events to follow, June 25 is shaping up to be one of the most active days of Chapter 7 Season 3.
