At least 1 person hospitalized after a collapse at Canyon Tunnel Project site

At least one person was taken to the hospital after a collapse at the Canyon Tunnel Project on Tuesday, officials said. Crews responded to the site along the border of Calaveras and Stanislaus counties northeast of Knights Ferry before 3:45 p.m. in response to a report of a collapse at the site, the South San Joaquin Irrigation District said.
