As promised last December, one of the pillars of the battle royale genre, PUBG: Battlegrounds is now playable for free on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Stadia since this Wednesday.

Although most of the modes and features of the online shooter are now accessible free of charge, a paid premium version can however be purchased for $16.99.
Bearing the name of PUBG: Battlegrounds Plusthis notably gives the possibility of participating in competitive matches or private personalized games. Fortunately, those who purchased the original paid version of PUBG in the past will have access to it free of charge.
To celebrate the launch of the free-to-play version of its flagship game, developer Krafton will also offer three free loads of content between January 26 and February 9.
Note that the free version of PUBG released this Wednesday will also offer several new features, such as tutorials and a tactical drone to better plan your journey.
PUBG: Battlegrounds is available for free now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
