In a partnership both in the city and on stage, Victoria Dauberville and Mathieu Forget mesmerize the audience by playing with emptiness and defying gravity. Impressive in their artistry but very discreet, they evoke their romance through their choreographies.
On the rooftops of Paris, a young woman in a white tutu, wearing a crown on her head, dances in the arms of her partner, carried by the enticing voice of Céline Dion. “Let’s dance above the great emptiness, let our breaths guide us, bodies in unison,” sings the Quebec diva in her new song “Dansons”, released on April 17. Classical dancer Victoria Dauberville and her partner, Mathieu Forget, are the stars of the video. While other couples appear, their aerial, captivating performance and passionate kiss at sunset, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, stand out.
Double Vertigo
In life as well, Victoria and Mathieu love each other and dance together all over the world. Their unique story is born of a double vertigo, the one of love that everyone experiences, imperceptible but very real, and the more concrete one of the emptiness they tame daily. Victoria Dauberville, always in her white tutu, shares videos of her exploits on her Instagram account followed by over 400,000 people. She is seen defying gravity by dancing atop the Pic du Midi at over 2,800 meters altitude, doing pointe work in the desert or on the bow of a ship in the icy waters of Antarctica. This last sequence, truly incredible, went viral on social media when it was released in February 2025, accumulating over 70 million likes. Some internet users found it so surreal that they accused the ballerina of using artificial intelligence. In reality, the scene was filmed by Mathieu Forget from a safety zodiac. “With the moving water and the slight zoom added to the video, several elements could give the impression of AI editing,” he explained, as reported by Belgian site RTL Info.
Mathieu Forget was originally on the trip to photograph glacier melting during a cruise. Victoria’s improvised performance left him speechless. “The contrast was just beautiful between the softness, lightness, elegance, and the hard, raw side of the location. There could not have been anything more beautiful,” he marveled later on Loopsider.
The thirty-year-old is not easy to impress. Nicknamed “The Flying Man”, he became known for his photos and videos of him in levitation, his signature movement.
Son of the tennis player Guy Forget, Mathieu initially followed in his father’s footsteps before branching into dance and photography. Both constantly in motion and placing themselves in unexpected, often urban locations, their art mirrors each other’s. Did they initially find each other artistically, then romantically, in this quest for poetry carried by their suspended bodies?
Undeniably, according to countless photos and videos of their choreographies shared on social media, the only elements giving a hint of their collaboration. Victoria and Mathieu showcase their artistic duo, but remain silent about their romance, perhaps to protect themselves. It is known that they met in 2021 (but not in what circumstances) and are willing to pose together at events, such as at the Roland-Garros photocall in 2022, or at the premiere of “Chien et chat” in Paris in February 2024.

Frequently interviewed together, they never speak of their love story, preferring to focus on promoting their artistic projects. Invited on the show “C à vous” in early June 2025, the ballerina and her partner only discussed Victoria’s show, “Classique?”, a modern ballet blending classical, contemporary, and hip-hop dance. Mathieu Forget is never far away as he accompanies her on stage with other dancers, without stealing the spotlight.
After performances in Paris in late 2025, Victoria and Mathieu embarked on a tour across France. This new artistic adventure not only allows them to meet their audience but also to express on stage – without a word – the love that binds them.
