On Saturday, at La Doline, 168 guests responded to Sport pour tous club’s call to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary. The club was actually founded on October 13, 1976. The activities at that time were limited to family walks on foot or by bike, ski trips to Brameloup, basketball, and, notably, the first women’s soccer match between “singles” and “married women”! Since then, the club has evolved significantly and now offers various disciplines such as hiking, stretching, gentle gymnastics, yoga, qi gong, fitcardio, children’s body awareness, and even plans for pilates sessions for the new school year.
This evening allowed former club members and current practitioners to come together over an aperitif and a buffet. Exclamations and hugs marked the beginning of the evening. Then it was time to get serious and sit down at the table to enjoy a royal menu prepared by the Bastide brothers. Conversations flowed freely, and the atmosphere was warm. Towards the end of the meal, the president, Évelyne Pagès, and Bernard Falgayrat reflected on the club’s history. A bouquet was offered to the president, while the cake was served. Élisabeth Sauveplane, vice-president of the Departmental Committee for Hiking (CDRP), and the department’s salaried secretary for the Sports for All Federation (gym) spoke.
Pauline Bousquet apologized for Michel Arnal, the new mayor of the commune. The evening continued with lively music until the early hours of the morning. A very nice atmosphere! A big thank you to the president and participating members for their active contribution to the success of this beautiful evening.
