Partnership

The queens of the Val de Vienne circuit will be the Ferraris, making up the majority of the 1,300 racing and prestige cars at the 32nd edition of “500 Ferraris against Cancer,” from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Le Vigeant. The charitable car gathering organized by Sport & Collection, with proceeds going to CHU de Poitiers for cancer research, will showcase iconic models of the prancing horse brand in exhibitions, through a historical retrospective, and on the track, during the four demonstration sessions and the grand parade on Sunday noon.

But Ferraris won’t be the only attraction of the weekend. Two French manufacturers will be highlighted. Present last year to celebrate twenty years since their first Formula 1 constructor championship, Renault will dive back into its prestigious racing history. Highlights include René Arnoux behind the wheel of his 1979 Renault RS10 F1 car, while Alain Serpaggi will drive the Renault Alpine A 442B, winner of the 1978 Le Mans 24 Hours. Additionally, nine rally and touring cars driven by Jean Ragnotti throughout his career will reunite at Le Vigeant.

Peugeot celebrates One Hundred Years of History at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

In addition to Renault, Peugeot will also be highlighted for celebrating a hundred years of history at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The public will have the chance to admire iconic models such as the Peugeot 302 Darl’Mat in 1937, the CD Peugeot in 1966, and the WM P88 in 1988. The icing on the cake will be the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar, presented two weeks before participating in one of the world’s most famous car races.

“We will also have several hypercars like the Ferrari F80, the Maserati MCXtrema, the Aston Martin Valhalla, the latest Bugatti, and McLaren,” listed Jean-Claude Doury, president of the Sport & Collection association. “We want to provide dreams and enable all car enthusiasts to see cars they wouldn’t see elsewhere,” he added, mentioning the vintage cars from the 1920s to the 1960s participating in the elegance competition.

“A passion in service of solidarity”

And the essence of “500 Ferraris against Cancer” is that “this passion for cars serves solidarity and fights against disease,” emphasizes Jean-Pierre Doury. Six research projects on different cancers, led by doctors from CHU de Poitiers, were selected by the Sport & Collection scientific committee. With the hope of benefiting from an even larger amount than the 650,000 euros raised in 2025, which was already a record amount.
