“The Spanish Method”
The event is led by Jean-Claude Derache, who serves as the director of stages for the Madrid club across Europe. Several workshops were created to assess players and develop their skills. “In the Spanish method, it is up to the child to find solutions to problems,” explains Jean-Claude Derache. “This makes them more creative, and the Spanish are very creative,” he judges.
All participants received equipment in a bag, including a jersey, shorts, and a pair of socks, all branded “Real Madrid” and, obviously, completely white.
Real Coaches
For this stage, four coaches from the FRMC are present alongside three educators from the Mourenxoise Union, with a total of 67 children from across the department and even from Landes. They were divided into four groups: Vinicius, Bellingham, Mbappé, and Camavinga, the names of four of Real’s best-known players globally.
In the end, three or four children will be selected for a stage in Paris, hoping to pass the tests to access the final stage at “La Cantera,” the official training ground for Real Madrid’s youth, and to visit the iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
At the opening of the stage on Monday morning, Mayor Lindsey Deary was present, welcoming all the young participants to Mourenx for a good stage. He was accompanied by Cédric Lassalle, the deputy in charge of sports and community life.
