Declaring fears of fraud or manipulation of results in the upcoming November midterm elections, Donald Trump announced that Republicans were considering sending an “election integrity army.”
Donald Trump knows he is in trouble, six months before the midterm elections in the United States. Still convinced he was a victim of a “rigged election” in 2020, the president stated that an “army” could be deployed in all states to ensure the smooth running of the election.

The information was revealed by The Independent, following a post by Donald Trump on his Truth Social network. According to our colleagues, the president seemed to attribute his “historic election of 2024” to the deployment of thousands of volunteers to monitor polling stations and contribute to the resolution of electoral disputes.
“A much larger force”
“When I won all the swing states and achieved a decisive victory in terms of electoral votes and the popular vote, Republicans deployed an army of defenders of electoral integrity in each state to preserve the sacred nature of each legal vote. We will do the same in 2026, but with a much larger force,” wrote Donald Trump.

The Independent notes that this announcement comes in a particular context, with Democrats wanting to ensure the smooth running of the elections. Additionally, Donald Trump has already signed an executive order to restrict mail-in voting and is seeking to redraw the electoral maps of Republican states.
“Donald Trump knows, his party knows, that they are at risk of losing this election in 2026, which is why they are working tirelessly to rig the vote in their favor,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
