The famous American journalist Tucker Carlson has once again attracted public attention by advancing sharp and controversial ideas about US foreign policy.
According to him, since 1963 – the year of the assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy – the country’s leadership may be limited in its ability to make independent decisions. Carlson claims that almost all presidents since then have acted under certain influences in foreign policy matters.
He argues that this situation is particularly evident in relations with Israel. According to him, American leaders have often made decisions in line with the interests of that state, a policy that is now leading to serious economic and political consequences for the country.
Carlson also emphasized that it would be wrong to attribute this problem to just one person or one president. “It is not just about Donald Trump. The problem is much deeper: how can a state of 9 million inhabitants influence the political orientation of a country of 365 million inhabitants? What kind of system is this?” he wondered.
He added that the exact functioning of this mechanism currently has no clear and open answer. The journalist stressed the need to delve into and analyze this issue.
