This Saturday, as part of a partnership with the NFL and the New Orleans Saints, Nadir Hifi announced the name of one of the players drafted by the Saints in 2026, live from Paris. A significant moment that allowed him to once again express his desire to play in the NBA.

“Announcing the name of one of the players drafted by the Saints, we can imagine that it resonates with you in relation to the NBA…”

Yes, being able to join a franchise is everyone’s dream, so it’s something beautiful to announce. I can no longer be drafted, but I hope to join the NBA as soon as possible. I know it’s not up to me, but I try to show what I’m capable of on the field, to increase my chances of going there. It’s a childhood dream, I’ve been dreaming of the NBA since I was little. It’s normal that my goal is to go there and show that I’m capable of playing in the best league in the world. It’s a goal and I hope to achieve it.

“There is a lot of talk about the NBA Europe… What do you think about it?”

To be honest, I’m not sure what to expect. I think it could be something good. But I don’t know how it will work. Will it really have an impact on us? If it can bring something different, with a different mentality, another sphere, another dimension, it could be good.

“What are your ambitions for the end of the season with Paris Basket?”

I think it’s clear to everyone. The goal is to bring back the back-to-back, a second French championship title. We all have it in mind and we hope to bring it back again for the city and the club.

“The world championship in France in 2031, do you think about it? Do you hope to wear the blue jersey at that moment?”

Already, there’s the world championship next year, the Olympics the following year… These are already things to aim for. And for 2031, the World Cup in France, it’s something special, it’s going to be magical. It’s a first in France. We need to prepare for it and be able to entertain the French.
