At the age of 78, Jean-Pierre Foucault has had a very rich career. An iconic host of the Miss France competition, he has also been the face of popular shows like “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” Throughout his journey, he has crossed paths with many celebrities. On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Jean-Pierre Foucault was a guest on Isabelle Morini-Bosc’s show “Isa TV Replay,” which was aired on YouTube.

The opportunity for the host to reminisce about the memorable encounters he has had in his life as a journalist and presenter. “I have received many people, all the big stars have come to my couch. I must say I have been very lucky,” he assured nostalgically. The TF1 star host notably recalled his meeting with Claude François, as well as with Romy Schneider. He had traveled to Italy to interview the artist about her projects.

Jean-Pierre Foucault remembers meeting Romy Schneider As he watched the archived photographs of the personalities he had met, Jean-Pierre Foucault spontaneously thought back to Romy Schneider. The iconic French cinema actress had invited him to meet her on the set of one of her films, which was being shot in Rome. “It was in Rome, during a shoot. Something extraordinary happened with Romy,” he recalled.

Once on the film set, Jean-Pierre Foucault was invited by the actress to her trailer: “It was a caravan on the set of I don’t remember which film. She was waiting for me, she said, ‘Come in.’ I entered the caravan, it’s cramped.” Romy Schneider wanted to change out of the clothes she was wearing for her role. She asked the journalist, “Does it bother you if I change?” Taken aback, Jean-Pierre Foucault replied, “No, not at all.” It was then that the actress undressed in front of him: “She changed, she stood topless in front of me, etc. I must say it’s an interview that I remember very well.”

Jean-Pierre Foucault takes a step back While he has pursued projects throughout his life, Jean-Pierre Foucault now aspires to a calmer life. Although he was set to appear soon in the series “Tomorrow is Ours,” he ultimately canceled his participation. “I changed my mind,” he stated in the same show. He then explained that he needed to prioritize his health: “I wanted not to do it. I didn’t feel up to it. I had a lot of fun doing ‘Murders on the Blue Coast,’ which was very successful. I’m a bit tired at the moment,” he confessed. But, rest assured, the host has not yet said his final word.
