Over the seasons, despite constantly trying to avoid this pitfall, I felt like I was becoming redundant. In recent months, I experienced the feeling of reaching the end of the adventure, no longer fully capable of maintaining the good collective dynamic and/or not sufficiently progressing the group. This feeling gradually led me to make the decision today that would best serve the club’s interests.

It hasn’t been easy for you, has it? No, indeed, especially when you introduce human relationships into the equation, but after long months of reflection – putting aside emotions – this choice had become obvious to me.

Will you take on other roles within the club? It is a possibility that I will soon discuss with my president, Christophe Champeaud. So far, none of this has been discussed, let alone decided.

Could you coach at another club other than FC des Graves? At the moment, clearly no. I have only known one club, I feel very comfortable there and believe I can still be useful in a new role yet to be defined.

What are your best memories? I have many, some more poignant than others. The historic promotion of the club to Regional 1 in 2022 and the 6th round of the French Cup played unfortunately behind closed doors, against Arlac-Mérignac (N3 at the time), during Covid are at the top of the list. The match against Bordenave to access R1, the series of ten undefeated games in 2024 are also very good memories.

The worst memories? I have been fortunate, at least I don’t remember any. Perhaps, during the 2024-2025 season, where I struggled a lot to find the keys to reignite the team’s dynamic.

What future do you envision for FC des Graves? FCG is a unique, transparent, family-friendly club where human values take center stage. Sportingly, it must maintain its position in the second regional tier, which will become less evident with the restructuring of the hierarchy and the constant technical and athletic progression at this level. However, to achieve this without compromising its fundamental values, it will need to be more demanding, more competitive in its preparation and approach to challenges.

What will your message be, on the evening of May 24th, after your last match as coach of FCG?
