Fortnite has officially addressed player concerns around in-game items tied to D4vd, confirming that refunds are now available. Following the recent backlash from the community, Epic Games announced that players who purchased D4vd-themed cosmetics can request refunds.

This includes emotes like “Feel It†and “Trophy Drop,†along with Jam Tracks such as “What Are You Waiting For†and “Locked and Loaded.†Many players had expressed discomfort continuing to own these items and pushed for their removal. Now they are also wondering whether these special cosmetics will be removed from the game entirely, following D4vd’s conviction for a serious crime.

Fortnite players can now request D4vd cosmetics refund

In a statement shared via the Fortnite Status account on X (formerly Twitter), the company acknowledged the situation. They noted that changes are being rolled out in phases. One of the first updates will allow players to access a self-service refund option starting April 28. Until then, users can already request refunds through player support, with several reporting successful outcomes.

This official statement, posted from Fortnite’s Status account on X, read, “We hear the concerns. We have a bunch of changes we’re rolling out over time. The first one will be available on Tuesday, April 28th, when anyone who purchased one of these items will be able to get an immediate self-service refund. And, right now, players who request refunds for D4vd cosmetics via player support can be refunded.â€

While refunds are now confirmed, Epic Games has not yet clarified whether the D4vd-related cosmetics will be permanently removed from the game. However, the mention of “additional changes over time†suggests that further action could be on the way. For now, the move signals a clear response to player sentiment. This has given users more control over their in-game purchases amid the complicated, ongoing controversy.
