Donald Trump named the first members of the Science and Technology Advisory Board (PCAST) on Wednesday, created at the beginning of his term, which will be responsible for submitting proposals to strengthen the sector, according to a message posted on X by the White House.

The inaugural class includes thirteen members, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia chip giant CEO Jensen Huang, and Oracle President Larry Ellison.

All three are known to have close ties with the American president, as well as Michael Dell, CEO of the eponymous computer group, and Marc Andreessen, from the powerful capital investment company Andreessen Horowitz, also included on the council.

However, the heads of Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, or Apple are notably absent from the list.

Donald Trump also appointed Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange co-founder Fred Ehrsam to the board, who contributed one million dollars to the American president’s inauguration ceremony.

The council will be co-chaired by David Sacks, Donald Trump’s chief advisor on artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrencies, and Michael Kratsios, the White House’s point person on science and technology.

The decree creating the council, issued in January 2025, stipulates that it can have up to 24 members and will be dissolved two years after the publication of the text, theoretically in January 2027, unless extended by the American president.
