Closing the InCIRCus festival in Alès, Maël Thierry and Andréa Cutri will transform a truck, a trampoline and a Chinese pole into a stage where exploration takes precedence over performance. Their show, Two stones at once, winner of the Nursery 2025-2026, questions the obsession with results.
In an improbable setting, between a truck, a trampoline and a Chinese pole, two acrobatic scouts venture well beyond a simple technical demonstration. Two stones at oncecreated and performed by Maël Thierry and Andréa Cutri, is a dive into raw experience, where each bounce, each fall, becomes a step towards a greater quest: that of identity and complicity.
A playground where failure is success
Here, there is no race for achievement: “We question the need to always have to justify ourselves, to always succeedexplains Maël Thierry, circus performer and director. With this show, we spend more time failing than succeeding, like in life, in fact.“Mutual aid and altruism replace performance, and it is in this joyful disorder that a form of acrobatic poetry is born.
