This publication is presented in two versions, one dedicated to the administrative organization of the DRAC Occitanie, presenting a brief history of the evolution of the DRAC, which has just celebrated its 40 years (missions, roles, intervention axes, reform and merger of the Drac), the three pillars of intervention (heritage and architecture, creation and artistic dissemination, cultural and territorial action), and on the other hand, the main assets of the Occitanie region, some illustrations showcasing the action of partners throughout the territory, and some key figures on the activity of the DRAC.
The second brochure presents the heritage history of the two sites of the DRAC Hôtel de Grave and Villarmois for the headquarters in Montpellier, discussing the interventions on the building, the successive occupants, its French-style garden, and the Saint-Jean hotel for the site in Toulouse, marking the successive periods of the hotel of the Knights of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem (antiquity, high Middle Ages, Middle Ages, 17th and 18th centuries, and contemporary period). These two places are protected as historical monuments.
