Looking back at the mission of the Figeac-based company.
In direct collaboration with the Cauvaldor teams, fully committed to the sustainability and development of this large-scale departmental tool, AMD Solutions, a company based in Figeac specializing in business management support and transformation, played a crucial role in the reactivation of the Saint-Céré slaughterhouse, which faced a temporary suspension of its operations in 2025. The mission concluded with the arrival of a new director recruited by Cauvaldor.
Commissioned in an emergency context, Mathieu Arjeau from AMD Solutions intervened as early as October 2025 to structure, secure, and relaunch the entire operation. Thanks to a pragmatic results-oriented approach, and with the support of Macarena Sirejol from the Chamber of Agriculture of Lot, as well as the two existing team leaders, David Riol and Jonston Keletanoa, the resumption of slaughter operations was quickly initiated, with the suspension of bovine and ovine activities lifted as of January 2026. Prior to this, preparatory work involving the formalization of processes, redefinition of roles, and training enabled a collaborative effort with veterinary services. The recruitment of a quality manager helped complete the leadership team for the structure.
Beyond technical support, AMD Solutions carried out a genuine strategic and operational support mission:
– Organizational overhaul, clarifying responsibilities, defining key functions, and recruiting a Quality Manager.
– Reconstruction of management tools, including monitoring indicators, management rituals (such as weekly meetings with veterinary services).
– Human resources reorganization, adapting skills to site and slaughterhouse requirements, rewriting job descriptions and competence matrices, and providing job training.
– Process and practice security to meet regulatory and operational requirements through the rewriting of the PMS and standard operating procedures, as well as on-site team support.
– Change management support, by rallying teams around clear and shared goals and restoring broken communications.
This comprehensive approach strengthened the organization’s foundations by addressing key factors: modernizing management, structuring leadership, optimizing processes, and enhancing internal and external communications.
In a matter of months, AMD Solutions’ intervention allowed for:
– Progressive resumption of activities,
– Operation compliance,
– Establishment of a reliable and sustainable operational framework.
The reactivation of the facility, imperative within three months of the suspension notice, marks the success of the operational shift initiated by Cauvaldor with the expertise of AMD Solutions. The community now commits to ensuring quality management, volume development, and porcine sector consolidation. This new governance reflects rigorous leadership, ensuring partners the reliability and sustainability of the site.
