Getac launches the G140, the brand’s first robust tablet equipped with AMD technology to obtain the Copilot+ label. The tablet combines AI-driven performance with MIL-STD protection for field professionals.
Getac expands its range of Copilot+ compatible rugged tablets with the G140. This new model can boast of being the first of its kind, as it is the company’s first tablet equipped with an AMD Ryzen processor. With the S510AD, it already had a rugged laptop with AMD internal components.
The tablet provides robust equipment for running intensive Edge AI applications under extreme conditions. The new model provides businesses with greater choice when implementing deployments with specific integration requirements, while maintaining uniformity and efficiency in the IT environment.
AMD from head to toe
The G140 is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340/7 350 CPU, an AMD Radeon 840M/860M GPU and an AMD XDNA 2 NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS. Thus, the tablet easily crosses the bar set by Microsoft for the Copilot+ name. The AMD chip provides real-time AI processing during heavy workloads in the field and long battery life to cover long shifts in locations without nearby power outlets.

Extensive connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and optional 4G LTE/5G Sub-6, ensure stable connections, even in remote locations. Two USB 4 ports enable fast data transfer and high-resolution video output.
Robust design
The G140 features a 14-inch LumiBond display with 1,000 nits of brightness to maintain screen readability in direct sunlight. The replaceable battery and optional high-capacity batteries ensure long-lasting uninterrupted use. For security, TPM 2.0, Windows Hello facial recognition as well as an optional fingerprint reader and smart card reader are available.
The chassis offers VESA mounting options for various mounting possibilities. Getac highlights MIL-STD-810H certification, IP66 protection and drop resistance up to 1.2 meters to promise reliability in demanding environments. With a weight of only 1.79 kg, the tablet remains light to carry.
Versatile applications for critical sectors
The G140 is suitable for a variety of applications, such as public safety, automotive diagnostics and faults, and predictive maintenance in industry. The tablet minimizes unplanned downtime and helps reduce operational costs. “The demand for robust systems supporting AI applications at the edge is growing globally,” said James Hwang, CEO of Getac. “With the G140, we’re bringing real-time analytics power directly to the field, so professionals can do their jobs more efficiently. HAS”
The G140 will be available from June 2026. Getac does not set a price on the product: we can only speculate on the possible influence of the current component crisis. The G140 joins the Intel UX10 and F120 tablets, Intel B360 Plus laptop, and AMD S510AD laptop in the brand’s list of Copilot+ devices.
