Acer draws an AI mini-PC that targets the Nvidia DGX Spark head-on, focusing on the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 128 GB of unified memory. Announced yesterday, the Veriton RA110 promises to run models with up to 200 billion parameters on a 160 mm box.

In the ultra-niche niche of the personal AI position, we are starting to see very many contenders. The Veriton RA110 measures 160 by 160 by 47 mm, and therefore much more compact than a tower. Acer claims up to 126 TOPS and support for AI models with up to 200 billion parameters, relying on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 SoC and its Radeon 8060S iGPU.

This is the same chip as the one found in the Desktop Framework, a sign that the Strix Halo has become the x86 reference for this type of machine.

To understand the interest, we have to look at memory. The RA110 has up to 128 GB of quad-channel LPDDR5X at 8,533 MT/s, shared between the CPU and the integrated GPU.

This is called unified memory: the GPU can draw from all the RAM, where a mainstream graphics card caps around 24 GB of VRAM. Concretely, this makes it possible to locally load models with several tens of billions of parameters, without cutting or quantizing to death.

The storage goes up to 2 TB in M.2 2280 PCIe SSD, and the connectivity includes two USB 4 Type-C ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 Gb Ethernet. All under Windows 11 Copilot+, with an in-house dashboard called Acer Sense Pro which displays dev indicators (tokens per second, time to first token) and switches between silent, balanced and performance profiles.
An x86 answer to Nvidia’s DGX Spark
The Nvidia DGX Spark, which we tested recently, offers exactly the same argument, 128 GB of unified memory, models up to 200 billion parameters, but on an ARM base with the Superchip GB10 Grace Blackwell.

Problem, its price rose to $4,699 after an increase of $700 linked to the surge in DRAM. And again, prices exceed 5,500 euros in France.
Acer has not yet communicated a price for the Veriton RA110, but competing mini-PCs built on the Strix Halo, such as the GMKtec EVO-X2 in 128 GB, cost around 2,600 euros on Amazon (in 64 GB version).
If Acer aligns, the RA110 could halve the bill against the DGX Spark, while remaining x86 and Windows compatible, where the Spark imposes DGX OS under Linux. The counterpart is the memory bandwidth, around 256 GB/s on the Strix Halo side compared to 273 GB/s on the GB10 side, and above all the CUDA ecosystem, unbeatable at Nvidia.
| Characteristic | Acer Veriton RA110 | Nvidia DGX Spark |

Head-on competition from high-end mini-PCs, like the Minisforum MS-S1 Max that we tested, in any case shows that this segment is no longer confined to office automation.

The Veriton RA110 is announced for the third quarter of 2026, price not communicated. For developers who want to prototype LLM locally or let an AI agent run autonomously overnight, this is the good news of the week, provided that Acer does not play the price card for small powerful workstations. Under 3,000 euros, the DGX Spark will have to justify its entry ticket.
