Nvidia unveiled a new range of artificial intelligence models, called Ising, to support the development of quantum computing. Offered as open source, these tools are designed to help businesses and researchers design quantum processors capable of addressing practical uses. The goal is to provide scalable solutions to a sector still in its maturation phase, by facilitating the resolution of complex technical problems.

These models primarily target two major challenges in quantum computing, namely error correction and system calibration. By improving these critical processes, Nvidia aims to enable researchers to tackle broader and more sophisticated issues. According to the company, performance could be up to 2.5 times faster, with three times the precision for some decoding tasks related to quantum error correction.
