The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is not yet commercially available, however the first tests are appearing. Several submissions were identified in the HWBOT database. They reveal part of his performances.

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is AMD’s first mainstream processor to feature 3D V-Cache technology on its two CCDs. This is an important development which clearly distinguishes it from its big brother the Ryzen 9 9950X3D.

According to the first leaks, the chip scores 9246 points in Cinebench 2026 Multi Thread and 746 points in single cores on this same test. We also have a score of 38,579 points under Cinebench R23 in multi-core compared to a power of 227,919 MIPS under 7-Zip.

The configuration used is based on an ASUS ROG Strix B850-A Gaming WiFi motherboard, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 Kingston, a Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Windows 11 25H2. The captures spotted show a TDP of 200 W.

Pay attention to the temperature

On the other hand, one detail provokes a reaction, the temperatures observed in these first captures. The overlays associated with the benchmarks show frequencies slightly exceeding 5.19 GHz in Cinebench, with package power climbing up to 216 W in Cinebench 2026 and 220 W in Cinebench R23. At the same time, the maximum temperatures recorded rose to 95 to 96°C.

We must obviously remain cautious because although these first results are interesting, they do not yet provide a complete vision. Information is missing such as the type of cooling used, current BIOS settings or even any power profiles applied by the motherboard.

In the meantime, one thing is certain. This Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is already in the hands of testers. It is likely that by April 22, other results will emerge, in particular with more precise comparisons against the current Ryzen 9 9950X3D or other high-end CPUs of the moment.
