Prop Hunt mode is coming to PUBG

The new Prop Hunt mode is now available and will be available from March 31 to April 7. This limited-time mode features hide-and-seek gameplay where players are divided into two roles: hunters and props.

  • Hunters must find and eliminate all disguised players before time runs out.
  • The accessories turn into objects and try to stay hidden until the end of the round.
  • PUBG finally adds Prop Hunt mode – but there's a big catch!

Each match includes 12 playersdont 9 play the role of providers et 3 that of hunters. At the start of each round, players choose their preferred role.

The game follows a structured format. During the preparation phase, Item Protectors benefit from a temporary speed boost to find hiding places and camouflage themselves. During this time, the Hunters are confined to a restricted area with limited visibility. Once the round begins, the Hunters explore the map, but be careful: touching non-Item Protector objects has a cost, because their health decreases.

To rebalance the forces, the Props have several abilities, including a Stun Gun, Decoy and Switch Propallowing them to disorient and escape the Hunters. Towards the end of each round, Fever Time mode activates, giving Hunters more powerful weapons and removing penalties for missed shots.

This mode is available on several maps, including Miramar, Rondo et Vikendimarking PUBG’s official entry into the growing list of games featuring Prop Hunt gameplay.

Community reactions and concerns

On platforms like Reddit and Twitter, player reactions have been generally positive, with many welcoming the new mode. However, one request that comes up frequently is that fans want Prop Hunt to become a permanent feature rather than a temporary event. This mode has already brought back former players, proof of its appeal.
