Clarnie Platform Facilitates Connections Between Farmers and Students
The Clarnie platform, designed to connect farmers and students, has been a success. It has enabled around a hundred students to find internships or apprenticeships. The two founders now aim to expand the concept to other countries.
Facilitating students in finding a job or apprenticeship in agriculture while meeting the needs of farmers is the motto of the Clarnie platform, launched in 2024. Two years later, it is a real success.
Operating from their headquarters in the heart of the national wholesale market in Toulouse, Clara Silveiro and Marnie Atgé are now entrepreneurs who are actively working to advance their platform, Clarnie.
Starting their journey as students at the National School of Agronomy in Toulouse where the project was born in 2024, they have made significant progress.
“We managed to raise €10,500 to launch our website through crowdfunding and have been earning a minimum wage since September 2025,” said Marnie Atgé.
The Clarnie platform, named after the two creators, emerged from the desire to bridge the gap between two struggling worlds that initially seemed opposed: on one side, students looking for work compatible with their studies, and on the other, farmers in need of seasonal or occasional workforce.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved,” she continued. “In two years, we have successfully collaborated with agricultural cooperatives, which is very fast.”
“And we have already connected about a hundred students with farmers who had real needs.”
However, the two young women still face challenges: “We encounter difficulties with farmers because they do not take the time to advertise their vacancies,” confirms Marnie Atgé. “By working with cooperatives, it’s easier as they also pay for them, but ultimately, we only reach a quarter of the farmers.”
“Our target audience is precisely those who are not part of a cooperative because they are more diversified,” emphasized the young entrepreneur. “They engage in agritourism or retail sales. That’s why we have established a partnership with the Bienvenue à la ferme label.”
In conclusion, she added: “But it’s still a painstaking job that takes a lot of time.”
Despite the challenges, the two young founders remain undeterred. After conquering the entire France, they have set a new goal: to expand to Belgium.
