The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will take place in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5, in three phases. The fair will cover a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with 75,700 booths and over 32,000 participating companies, surpassing all previous editions. 3,900 new exhibitors will participate, highlighting the role of the Canton Fair in connecting businesses with global markets and high-quality commercial opportunities.

Reflecting the evolution of global trade and industry development, the fair has optimized its exhibitor range and exhibition structure. The number of zones has increased to 179, with nine newly introduced zones focusing on fast-growing sectors such as smart clothing, display technologies, consumer drones, prefabricated houses, and courtyard facilities. These new zones will bring together approximately 670 companies spread over more than 1,300 booths.

Advanced manufacturing and new quality productive forces play a significant role, with over 60% of exhibitors adopting new generation technologies such as industrial internet applications, artificial intelligence, 5G solutions, and green, low-carbon emission production. The fair will present over 4.65 million products, including a significant portion of innovative, green products with exclusive intellectual property.

Buyer services have also been improved, with the launch of a unique service center for buyers and year-round pre-registration. These enhancements aim to provide more effective and personalized information, bringing supply and demand closer together to help buyers navigate the fair more easily and enhance their overall experience. For new buyers, the fair offers a smart and transparent journey, from participation planning and pre-registration to post-fair follow-up, thanks to the improved Canton Fair application, now featuring 26 functions and 14 new AI application scenarios.

Global buyer participation continues to grow in both scale and diversity. As of April 9, over 210,000 foreign buyers had pre-registered, a 20% increase from the previous spring session. The number of leading confirmed supply companies has grown by 30% to reach 290. Buyers from Belt and Road member countries, Latin America, and Africa have all seen significant growth, with specialized buyers now representing over 70% of registrations for the first time.

To meet the needs of Middle Eastern buyers facing travel constraints, the fair has enhanced its hybrid service model, including online supply-demand matching, live social media events abroad, and optimized on-site services for foreign companies operating in China.
