The 14th edition of the “Musical Off-Season”, organized on Sunday, April 12, in the church of Montigny-sur-Aube, was more than just a concert. It was a weekend of music, meetings, and sharing led by guitarist Brice Rivey and percussionist Eléna Louviot.
On Saturday afternoon, the artists went to perform at the Ehpad Châteauvilain, reaching out to an audience often distant from the traditional music scene, providing the residents with a warm and accessible musical moment.
The Saturday continued with a private concert held at the home of Chantal and Patrick Debernard. In an intimate setting, the musicians were able to share their world more directly, creating a strong bond with their audience.
The highlight of the weekend was the Sunday afternoon concert at the church, which attracted a large audience. The duo performed around ten pieces of flamenco music, blending original compositions and adaptations arranged by Brice Rivey, while Eléna Louviot provided tailor-made percussive accompaniments.
Both graduates of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Higher School of Music, the artists met in 2017, began collaborating in 2019, and have been performing together on stage since March 2024. Their evident musical connection captivated the spectators.
