Since Friday, April 17, the CStar channel has added a new program to its schedule called Flashback. Hosted by Nathalie Dartois, the partner of Cauet, this show features interviewing a personality each week about five significant moments in their career. To kick off the format, Marine, winner of the 2024 Star Academy, agreed to participate. During the interview, the young artist candidly shared a dream close to her heart: singing alongside Céline Dion. Although she described this as “unattainable”, Marine also revealed the title she dreams of performing in a duet with the Quebec star. Marine confessed in Flashback to one of her wildest dreams: singing All by Myself with Céline Dion. Despite her love for Céline, Marine hesitated to choose her as a duet partner, admitting she particularly admires another artist: Sabrina Carpenter. In the end, Marine declared, “But I would still choose Celine!” A legend! Marine, winner of the Star Academy, reveals that she had hesitated to perform this Céline Dion hit during the Star Academy tour. From the early days at the Dammarie-les-Lys castle, Marine’s teachers noticed her powerful voice, reminiscent of her idol, Céline Dion. Therefore, it’s no surprise that she performed one of her hits during a prime show. And what a hit! All by Myself, a monument of the song! Despite the difficulty, she brilliantly met the challenge, becoming one of the most memorable performances of the season. The production then decided she would perform it during the tour, which had about sixty shows. A huge challenge for the young artist, as she explained in Flashback. “At first, I hesitated to say no, but then I thought, ‘It will be a challenge, it will be great.’ And vocally, it helps, it strengthens, so I really sang it 59 times in a row.” There is no doubt that the audience was thrilled she took on the challenge!
