Meghan Markle, whose full name is Rachel Meghan Markle, was born on August 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, an African-American mother and a father of Irish and Dutch descent.
Meghan attended Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, then earned a degree in theater and international relations from Northwestern University. She later worked as an actress, appearing in television shows such as “Suits” and films such as “Remember Me.”
In addition to her acting career, Meghan is also known for her charitable work. She has worked with organizations such as World Vision Canada and UN Women, and she was named a UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2016.
In November 2017, Meghan announced her engagement to Prince Harry, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. They married in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The couple have since had two children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana.
