Since her participation in Star Academy, Helena has been busy with projects and successful songs. The young woman has carved out a place for herself with the public, who are delighted to follow her in all her adventures. The singer has been making frequent appearances on stage as well as on tour, following the release of her album “Hélène” in March 2025. However, on April 14, Helena announced that she would not be present for the final of the show The Voice Belgique. She informed her followers that she made this decision for “medical reasons”, stating that she wanted to give her vocal cords a rest. In an interview with the magazine Max, published by our colleagues at Pure Charts, she provided more details on the matter.
With a very intense schedule, Helena admits: “I sometimes get tired, yes. I feel the need to rest. There are days when I think, ‘I just want to sit on my couch and read a book’, but I know it wouldn’t last more than a day,” she revealed. However, she also said that she decided to take a long break after her tour. “I’m going to disappear for a year,” she explained, emphasizing her desire to reconnect with simple things, away from the glitz and glamour. The singer already has her plans prepared.
“I want to learn to play the guitar and piano better, to do sports,” she said before adding, “I want to go far away, learn English, discover new cultures, live with a family that isn’t mine, like I did when I was younger.” Wanting to live and enjoy her everyday life, Helena also expressed her desire to adopt an animal. “I’m going to adopt a dog. I’ve gone through all the procedures, I’m on the waiting list. And I want to take the time to educate it properly,” she specified.
Helena: a much-needed break for the singer
Helena has enjoyed success in recent months but she says she wants to prioritize her health and desires above all. “I want to let myself live before going back to the studio,” she declared before continuing, “You have to experience joyful, sad things in order to be able to write new songs.” For a year, the young woman intends to make the most of it and regain a normal life. Her priority is simple: “not to fall into the cliché of the artist who can only talk about their artistic life,” she concluded.
