As the final sprint approaches, Eaunes’ senior team coaches, Manuel Manas (also president of the FCEL) and Laurent Graux, give a clear assessment of their season.
After a successful first phase marked by a series of victories, the situation has become more complicated in recent weeks. Manuel Manas explains, “Until the end of the first round matches, we were undefeated, then we started the second phase poorly with 3 defeats, including a heavy one, so it’s a bit more complicated for us at the moment. However, it’s not over, we are 3rd in the standings and we will have to approach the upcoming matches well to earn points.” Despite this setback, both teams remain well positioned in their respective championships. Group 1, strong both offensively and defensively, is among the best teams in the pool. On the other hand, Group 2 maintains a positive mindset and good cohesion, essential foundations for bouncing back.
With four games remaining, the goal is now clear: to secure one of the top two spots to aim for promotion.
This is a clearly stated ambition, but it will require diligence and consistency.
