Next Stop: Premier League? BILD knows: Talks between AFC Bournemouth and coach Marco Rose (49) about working together starting next season have been ongoing for three weeks. Now, according to BILD information, a basic agreement has been reached. Sky is also reporting on this.
Rose was dismissed as coach of RB Leipzig in March last year and is still under contract with the Bundesliga club until June 30.
Bournemouth is in search of a successor for Andoni Iraola (43). The Spaniard will not renew his expiring contract at the end of the season. For a year, the club has been unsuccessfully trying to convince the coach to continue working together. On Wednesday, the club officially confirmed the separation.
Bournemouth has not lost a league game since January 3 (3:2 against FC Arsenal) and has been undefeated in the Premier League since then.
According to BILD information, the club identified Rose as the successor to Iraola through former RB chief team doctor Dr. Percy Marshall. The coach is determined to return to the sidelines next season, after hardly being seen in public in recent months.
If Rose joins Bournemouth, he would reunite with former Leipzig players Tyler Adams (27/from 2019 to 2022 at RB) and Justin Kluivert (26/2020/21 season), as well as Amine Adli (25), who arrived from Leverkusen for 21 million euros before the season.
