The Cyclo sport Villefranchois organized a discovery journey during the week of May 4, choosing Vaison-la-Romaine as the privileged destination, located in Vaucluse, at the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux.
The program offered diverse routes for the twenty cyclists involved, including exploring the Dentelles de Montmirail, crossing the Nesque gorges, and admiring the landscapes of the Baronnies provençales. The highlight of this sports week was undoubtedly the ascent of the legendary “Giant of Provence”, Mont Ventoux, approached from its most iconic side, that of Bédoin. Marc, the organizer of this expedition, highlighted the success of the event: “A beautiful week of cycling with the sun and Mont Ventoux always as difficult to tame.” This type of journey fully aligns with the club’s philosophy, which is constantly coming up with initiatives to support its members.
The upcoming stages are already planned with the Cyclomontagnarde des Volcans in Puy-de-Dôme at the end of May, followed by the Tour du Cantal scheduled for September.
