In a stunning end to the 30th matchday, Rodez, undefeated since November 7th, welcomed Troyes, the Ligue 2 leader, feeling pressure after AS Saint-Etienne’s win. ESTAC took the lead in the 3rd minute with a goal from midfielder Martin Adeline, scoring his 3rd goal in 3 games, always at the beginning. Rodez responded quickly but faced a strong Konaté in the opposing goal.
After halftime, Konaté was tested multiple times as Rodez piled on the pressure. Their efforts paid off with a goal from Mathis Saka, his first of the season (1-1, 54th minute). Then Arconte thrilled the Paul Lignon stadium with the 2-1 goal (73rd minute)! Rodez pulled off the upset, beating the league leader at home, solidifying their 6th place and dreaming of an exciting end to the season. Meanwhile, Troyes is within reach of their pursuers…
