Then I read that ultimately, it’s happening!” Context: formerly a municipal councilor in Francis Colbac’s majority, Nathalie Salomon finds herself in opposition today, her list having been defeated by Éric Fallous. And although the latter refuses to comment to avoid harming the event, she still admits not being worried that it will take place. It is also known that the team of the Trélissac Sports Book fair has been looking to relocate the event elsewhere in the area.
4,000 euros in subsidies A financial problem is added to this political conflict because, to organize the fair, explains the mayor of Trélissac, the association that has so far benefited from subsidies from the municipality needs 4000 euros. “I’m told that I have to finance 4,000 euros,” explains Éric Fallous. “But they can’t tell me concretely, justify it. And anyway, grants to associations will only be decided at the end of May or beginning of June, the association wouldn’t have the money in its coffers for several months,” adds the newly elected mayor, who takes the opportunity to remind that the fair had chosen to relocate to the municipality’s media library “on a smaller scale.” “It’s an event that is deteriorating. It’s public money. We don’t do just anything.” The organizers, for their part, claim not to know the number of visitors from the previous edition.
On April 14th, officially, the holding of the Trélissac Sports Book Fair was still uncertain. Will it take place? And where? Mystery. “I haven’t canceled the reservation of the media library, I have not received any letter from the association indicating that it won’t happen in Trélissac for now,” says Éric Fallous. A press release should be sent by the organizers to the local press shortly, to reveal the information that has not yet been leaked.
