The school, sensitive to the values promoted by the “Foot school” program, wished to involve its students from CP to CM2 in a sequence combining sport, culture, and moral values. During six sessions held outdoors, on the school field, thanks to a benevolent weather, the students benefited from multiple workshops under the guidance of members from the local football club, USLB, as well as members from the Aveyron District.

The children worked on handling the round ball, but in an era where inclusion is widely discussed, they also practiced this sport in situations involving motor or visual difficulties. A workshop called “Fitfoot,” with music, concluded the sequence. In parallel to this sporting initiative, the children undertook an artistic project focusing on the five values of the “Prets” program (pleasure, respect, commitment, tolerance, solidarity). During the last session, Anaëlle Laffineur, project leader for “football at school” at the national technical directorate of the FFF, was present to observe the actions taken by the Aveyron District.

The children were delighted with the small gift given as a reward for their participation in this project and especially enjoyed the friendly afternoon snack provided by the school’s PTA. The teachers also praised the quality of this intervention, both for its educational content and the values it conveys. They would like to thank the contributors Xavier, Mathéo, and Clarisse from USLB, as well as Candy from the District.
