The 4th edition of the festival dedicated to parenthood draws its reverence with a loaded program.
Strengthening the parent-child bond was the objective of the 1, 2, 3 Family festival organized by Lunel Agglo since 2023. And it has been achieved given the success of this 4e édition.
Thus, the 7 days of activities for all ages end this Saturday, June 6 with a busy closing day organized jointly by the Jean-Jacques-Rousseau house. Jean-Hugo Park is transformed into a giant playground and will be animated non-stop from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A morning for toddlers
The festivities begin with a shared breakfast organized by the Lunel Agglo children’s service. At 10:30 a.m., pastries and juices await gourmets who are also invited to bring specialties to share. At the same time, the Zou on Joé association will introduce its toy library, the Media Library will offer collective and individual readings to the youngest, while the Entre femmes association and Hérault sport will offer a motor skills course for toddlers aged 18 months and over. “The morning is really targeted at early childhoodexplains Laetitia Ethevenot in charge of territorial cooperation in the Lunel Agglo children’s department. All day long, activities are designed for children but also for parents. The goal is for them to spend some time together.”
What’s planned in the Agglo?
The closing of the festival is also relayed in the town. From 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Castan space in Entre-Vignes hosts a forum theater for parents on the theme of emotions (registration: alp@entre-vignes.fr). During this time, the children are looked after by activity leaders. In Saint-Nazaire de Pézan, time for the family photo rally. Based on old photos of the village, the teams will have to find the exact location where the photos were taken. Free.
The morning of this closing day will also be reserved for creation. From 10:30 a.m., visual artist Isabelle Doblas-Coutaud takes the reins of a workshop manufacturing a time machine, a perfectly fitting echo of the theme of the festival which aims to be “a fun journey through the ages”. Milk cartons, pipes or cardboard boxes, participants are invited to provide equipment if they wish.
Round tables for parents on screens and food
From 2 p.m., the activities will continue. Family obstacle course, medieval adventure game with riddles, introduction to percussion, workshop for creating bracelets representing the future or even video game tournament, everything is done to encourage mutual aid and complicity. Seven time machines created and imagined by local school children will also be on display.
