To tell the story of Gotham’s timeless vigilante, Christopher Nolan enlisted the help of his uncle John Nolan, who played Douglas Fredericks in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises. In 2017, John Nolan continued his collaboration with his nephew in Dunkirk. Additionally, Jonathan Nolan involved his uncle in over 30 episodes of the series Person of Interest, where John Nolan appeared as John Greer.
