The event aims to promote the cultural values of the Cham to the Vietnamese and international public, while contributing to the implementation of Resolution 80-NQ/TW of January 7, 2026 of the Political Bureau on the development of Vietnamese culture.
The festival will take place from June 26 to 28 on the “April 16” square, in the Phan Rang and Dông Hai districts, as well as in several other sites in the Khanh Hoa province. The event will bring together seven cities and provinces with large Cham communities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Lâm Dông, Tây Ninh, An Giang, Dak Lak and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Nguyen Long Bien, vice-president of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, the theme of the festival will be: “Preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era.” This cultural event also marks the success of the XIVe National Party Congress as well as elections of deputies of the XVIe legislature of the National Assembly and members of People’s Councils of all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The program will include numerous cultural, sporting and tourist activities highlighting the Cham identity: reconstructions of traditional rites and festivals, presentation of crafts, popular arts shows, traditional costume parades, multimedia art space around the theme “Cham Colors – Convergence and influence”, promotion of tourist products, OCOP (One Commune One Product) products and local specialties, as well as a gastronomic fair.
The authorities of Khanh Hoa province stressed that the organization must guarantee efficiency, security and control of expenses, while promoting the richness and originality of the Cham culture. The event also aims to create a festive atmosphere for locals and visitors, while strengthening the promotion of provincial tourism.
