Camille Cottin grew up in the upscale neighborhood of Chelsea in London. According to M le magazine, the Cottin family lived in Chelsea, a privileged residential area surrounded by green streets and elegant Victorian facades. The media revealed that “The family lives in a house in the chic Chelsea neighborhood, Camille attends the French high school, nannies take care of the girls. These are the teenage years, first loves, and often confrontations with this whimsical and rebellious mother, but also very strict with her own children.”

After returning to France, the young woman pursued English studies and started a career as an English teacher. She humorously shared, “I discovered that in private schools, you could teach with a license. So I taught, but with hindsight, I don’t think having a license is enough to be a teacher […] A student once asked me how to say ‘plastic surgery,’ and I was stumped, so I answered that it’s the same thing but with an accent,” during an interview with Beau Geste and Pierre Lescure.

Her mastery of English allowed her to play international roles in theatre and cinema. She joined Jean Périmony’s school and then ventured into the film industry. Her English skills led her to star in films like “Connasse, Princesse des coeurs” in London in 2014, “House of Gucci” alongside Lady Gaga and Adam Driver in 2021, and the thriller “Mystère à Venise” in 2023. The “Dix pour cent” series star, whose film is in production, is considering moving not to England this time but to the United States. She disclosed to Léa Salamé on the show “Quelle époque !”, “Yes, why not? […] It’s not planned, but if the opportunity arises, I could do it quite well.”
