There are encounters that feel like obvious destiny. This is what happened to Helena Bailly and Pierre Garnier, contestants from the 2023 season of Star Academy, whose chemistry fuels all fantasies. Each of their public appearances is scrutinized with particular attention, like on February 13th, at the Victoires de la musique, where they displayed a falsely distant attitude. However, fans are not fooled: it has been a long time since the former proteges of Michael Goldman surpassed the friendship stage! Back in March 2025, Voici confirmed that the 24-year-old singer and his colleague were crazy about each other. But for now, they are not ready to make things official.

Helena has devised a strategy to cover up her relationship with Pierre Garnier

For the couple’s musical circle, their relationship is an open secret. “Everyone knows they are together,” said a press attaché in the latest issue of Voici, who is surprised they have not yet made their relationship public. However, this is far from happening, as Helena seems to have developed a strategy to deflect curious attention. “When asked backstage if she is in a relationship, she always talks about a mysterious Stéphane, to divert attention,” a close source revealed.

Yet exclusive images in our columns leave no room for doubt. Tender embraces, forehead kisses—Pierre and Helena show affectionate gestures when they think they are out of sight. Check out the exclusive photos in the latest issue of Voici, available this Friday, April 24th!

Helena announces a career break

On a professional note, Helena surprised everyone by announcing her decision to take a break in her career. After two intense years where she “strained her vocal cords,” the former academy member feels the need to “take a step back.” She revealed to Sud Info her plan to step back for a year after finishing her tour. This break will be an opportunity for her to pursue personal projects: improving her guitar and piano skills, learning English, discovering new cultures, and even adopting a dog she is currently on a waiting list for.

“I need to reconnect with ‘normal’ life,” she explained, canceling her presence at the Télétélé gala and The Voice finale. This beneficial pause should allow her to come back to the spotlight with new songs inspired by these experiences. In the meantime, the “new queen of Belgium” simply wants to “go with the flow.”
