A new phase of development work is starting in the city center of Lamballe. Starting this Monday, April 20, and until the beginning of summer, several streets, including Rue de Bouin, Rue de Bourg Hurel, and Rue Rouxel-Bertin, near the cinema Le Penthièvre, will be affected, leading to significant traffic changes. The infrastructure of the housing project “Rives du Gouessant” will also undergo construction work. These interventions are part of the “Lamballe-Armor 2025” program, which aims to improve pedestrian traffic and promote soft mobility. Grass parking spaces, equivalent to the current ones, will be created. Estimated work cost:
In order to minimize disruptions, the work will be organized in several phases. However, traffic adaptations will be necessary. A general diversion will be set up via Rue du Maréchal-Foch, complemented by a nearby route through Rue Yves-Charpentier. Parking will be prohibited within the construction area. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained, with the possibility of temporary arrangements for safety reasons. Furthermore, the final infrastructure of the Rives du Gouessant neighborhood – a social housing project launched in 2021 on the site of the former Renault garage – will be completed by 2027. The total cost of the work is estimated at €628,493 excluding taxes. It will be partially funded by the Brittany Region and the Côtes-d’Armor Department.
