On Saturday, May 16th, just before 3 p.m., the firefighters of the Territoire de Belfort were called for a potential fire in the Lion city. In the heart of the city, on Rue de l’As-de-Carreau, in the premises of the Salvation Army.
According to our information, while cooking, a resident had just smoked out their studio. There were no other consequences. The 13 firefighters, who came from the fire stations of Belfort-Sud and Belfort-Nord with a fire engine, a large ladder, and an ambulance, did not need to intervene beyond ventilation of the area. They remained on site for about twenty minutes to ensure the remaining food on the stove was safe.
No victims or evacuations were necessary in this incident.
