Since its first edition in 2008, the WPC has always been committed to promoting a more open, prosperous, and just world. The current international news gives even more meaning to this universal mission. Unique in its format with a limited number of high-level participants, the WPC offers an essential space for reflection and dialogue on major issues of global governance, while allowing its participants to develop lasting connections. It brings together personalities from all five continents – political and economic leaders, researchers, and journalists – ensuring a diversity and plurality of debates.

Prominent figures

The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron will address a message to the participants.

This year, the WPC will host Gérard Larcher (President of the Senate of France), S.S. Bartholomew I (Archbishop of Constantinople New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch), Paul Kagame (President of the Republic of Rwanda), Aleksandar Vučić (President of the Republic of Serbia), Nabil Fahmy (Secretary-General designate of the Arab League), Anwar Gargash (Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates), Anne-Claire Legendre (President of the Arab World Institute), Dmytro Kuleba (Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine), Patrick Pouyanné (Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies), Dominique Senequier (President and founder of Ardian) and more…

Themes addressed

Under the general theme “Between fragmentation and interdependence: rethinking global governance”, the eighteenth edition of the WPC will address major issues: global trade at a time when power supersedes rules, the geopolitics of digital finance, budgetary challenges facing states, the future of the European Union, wars in Europe and the Middle East and their global repercussions, the revolution of artificial intelligence, new security architectures, financing of global public goods in a fragmented world, and perspectives on the United States.

Parallel workshops will deepen reflections around three axes: international economy and finance, the new global energy order, and artificial intelligence, a driver of prosperity or existential threat?

The debates will be livestreamed on the WPC’s YouTube channel.
